The Shop for Shoes website was established in 1999 by David Burden and Maurice Matthews, both of whom have many years of experience in the UK shoe trade, including close involvement with many of the brands that feature on the site.

We are both heavily involved in the day to day operation and remain committed to our original aim of offering quality products at competitive prices while, at the same time, providing an excellent service.

Over the years, the number of brands and the range of products has increased significantly so that we are now able to offer an outstanding selection of formal shoes, casual shoes, comfort shoes, boots, sandals and slippers. We are continually seeking to increase the scope of our offering by adding new ranges

Our relationship with our suppliers is vitally important to our success and we always work very closely with them to ensure that their ranges are presented and serviced in the best possible way.

However, we recognise that it is the customer who holds the key to our success in the future and David and Maurice welcome compliments, comments, and even the occasional complaint!, as we strive to improve the business.
